Are you looking for a fun and creative group for children that challenges them to put their faith into action? Well, look no further than First Free’s Wednesday evening program, KidMix! Kids in grades K -5 from all backgrounds can learn about God and how to demonstrate their faith to their families, friends, and classmates. At KidMix we focus on:
Relationships with other kids and with caring adults. All kids are in an age appropriate small group lead by an adult volunteer who is passionate about teaching kids about Jesus. We encourage listening to each other, praying for each other, and building each other up.
Service A few times a year, the kids participate in an outreach project to the community. In the past, we have made gift baskets for families in need, valentines for seniors at a nursing home and reading kits for homeless preschoolers. We also do smaller service projects for the church several times a year.
Having fun. Kids participate in active games, worship time, and a variety of activities to connect with the lesson.
Meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm. September through May.
Note: KidMix will not meet on the following Wednesdays: Oct. 31, Nov. 21, Dec. 19, Dec. 26, Jan. 2 and April 3. This year’s program breaks for the summer after May 22, 2013.
