With the upcoming national election in November, the elders are holding a discussion panel focusing on theological perspectives on social/political issues. This streaming event will take place on Sunday, October 18 from 6:30 to 7:45 pm.
This will not be a partisan event, and we will not focus on current local or national races. Instead elders will share views on politics and important social issues from a theological lens, discussing how our respective political parties reflect (and do not reflect) God’s heart. We aim to learn from each other. Three elders with differing perspectives will present their thoughts and will dialog together. Written questions/comments will be available from participants during this zoom meeting. The hope is that our church can model loving each other despite our differences. We desire that this forum be an “iron sharpening iron” vehicle, that draws us closer together, and that also teaches and inspires us to better serve our hurting world. Come join us at 6:30 pm.
