This year, we signed up to hand out candy to our neighborhood trick-or-treaters outside First Free. Do you want to join us? We’re taking this as an opportunity to just be present with our neighbors, letting them know we’re here, and having fun with them.
Andersonville commercial district Trick-or-Treating is from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday, October 30th. The Chamber of Commerce will include us in their trick-or-treat map along with many shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. We’re looking for First-Free-ers who want to donate, decorate, or dress up and spend an hour (or more if you want) handing out candy to kids & families in the neighborhood. We’ll be out on Berwyn Ave (hopefully with decorations and a fun candy-delivery system) from 11 to 4, just hanging out, distributing candy, and having a good time. Want to join us?
We’re also looking for donations of candy bags, N95 masks, food-handling gloves and decorations. We also need help decorating and desinging/building a candy delivery system (typically a decorated tube to work as a candy chute; helps trick-or-treaters keep COVID-safe).
Click the button to sign up! Depending on volunteers, this could be totally epic or completely chill. Either way, we’re showing up. See you there!
