            At First Free, we are dedicated to creating safe spaces for everyone, upholding the highest conduct, ethical, and integrity standards. We take all forms of misconduct and power abuses very seriously. This includes, but is not limited to, workplace misconduct, sexual harassment and abuse, child abuse, and spiritual abuse committed by our employees, contract workers, volunteers, partner churches, faith communities, affiliated leaders, or any other individuals or bodies working with us.

            We assure you that all misconduct complaints will be taken seriously and thoroughly investigated with integrity, fairness, and promptness. We will also ensure the wellbeing of the complainants and all parties involved. Confidentiality of allegations and complaints will be maintained as far as possible. Any information related to the allegations, including the identities of any individuals involved, will not be disclosed unless necessary for the investigation, corrective action, or if legally required.

            If a minor is the victim of misconduct, it is mandatory to report it immediately to the police or child welfare authorities, as it constitutes child abuse, in accordance with the law.

              Location

              First Free Church is at the corner of Ashland and Berwyn in the Andersonville Neighborhood of Chicago. For most events and meetings, we enter through the glass doors at the front of our Family Life Center (the newer building) on Ashland Avenue.

              More About Our Campus

              Parking

              Free street parking is available on Ashland Avenue and in the neighborhood to the West. We have one handicap parking space at the front of the sanctuary building and one in the back.

              Transit

              The #50 (Damen) bus stops right in front of our building. We are within a block of the #22 Clark & Berwyn bus stop and the #92 Foster & Ashland stop.  If you’re taking the train, you’ll want to get off at the Berwyn Red Line Station and then head 6 blocks west.

              Accessibility

              Our entrance ramp is at the front of the building on Ashland and an elevator serves all levels of the Sanctuary and Family Life Center buildings.
