First Free is again hosting office space to Cornerstone Counseling Center of Chicago (CCCoC). CCCoC offers faith-based counseling for couples and families.
On Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Dr. Grace Ahn-Im will offer counseling sessions from the First Free office building. (More info about Grace is below). If financial assistance is needed, First Free will cover the majority of your first three counseling sessions. CCCoC accepts insurance and also has a “Client Access Program” to help with costs, especially those without insurance.
If Tuesdays from 9 am to 2 pm don’t work for you, you can schedule with another counselor at a different Cornerstone location. Call Cornerstone directly to make an appointment (312) 573-8860. Or book online at https://chicagocounseling.org/.
Contact the First Free office if you have questions for Grace or would like to take advantage of the offer of a free 15-minute “get-to-know-you” session. (email@example.com or leave a message at 773-561-4175).
Dr. Grace Ahn-Im
“I am the Executive Director of Cornerstone Counseling Center of Chicago. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and received my degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. I have experience providing therapeutic services across professional settings such as in community mental health, hospital, clinic, and private practice.
As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment in which a collaborative and goal-oriented relationship can develop. Through this safe and supportive relationship, I assist people in increasing awareness of themselves and begin the journey of healing, growth, and change. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across all life stages. I seek to build collaborative relationships and safe environments for my clients.
I utilize evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. I also consider my client’s unique context and cultural (e.g., race, gender, SES, community, spirituality) background and integrates these constructs in my treatment.“
