June 5, 2022 | Acts 2:1-24 | Pastor Matt Tinken

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday, when the Holy Spirit falls on the Church in Acts 2. It is the Holy Spirit that births the church — called by some the great equalizer and energizer of our faith. John Stott powerfully says, “Without the Holy Spirit, Christian discipleship would be inconceivable, even impossible. There can be no life without the Life-Giver, no understanding without the Spirit of Truth, no fellowship without the unity of the Spirit, no Christlikeness of character apart from his fruit, and no effective witness without his power. As a body without breath is a corpse, so the church without the Spirit is dead.” Join us Sunday as we celebrate the birthday of the church and explore the implications of that day for the church in our time and place.
